And thus I see with my eyes wide open, To unite the earth, moon and the stars, Allowing me to see so much beauty and pain, Capturing the moments unto each of my scars
When I met you I sent my heart through the air like a catapult. Waiting for you to catch it. As it slowly glided through the air like a misshapen pigskin, colors of emotion purged from the seems. Revealing secrets and insecurities. The closer this monstrosity got to you the more difficult it was for you to catch it. With an expressionless look on your face you barely catch this misshapen muscle, now your face turns to disgust and my heart starts to bleed. Bleeding blood, bleeding disappointment and shame. Your werent even kind enough to give it back.Just dropped it upon the ground of familiar territory of loss. The grass made of spines, due to the rock like consistency of my heart only a few spines penetrated the shell but with nothing else left to spill, at least for now, this incredible organ will fill again for someone else but the spines will still remain only to be passed to the next catcher of my catapulted heart……….
Push me into the deep
bleed me into the sea
hate me while I sleep
love will make me plea
sinking within the sand
fear grips my heart
death holds my hand
dying from the very start
please be forever kind
without quizzical stares
to peel away the rind
be the one that cares
I want to wear the mask
just so I can pretend
guide from task to task
maybe mistakes I can mend
